GROW: Siberian Speedwell

April 21, 2014

(  Veronica porphyriana )

Short spikes of deep velvet purple blue flowers ontop of rounded dense mat forming green leaves.

Vibrant blue flowers to 25cm tall, while the leaves ramble across the surfaceto only 15cm.

A full sun location with good drainage on fertile or unimproved soil will suite this plant. Frost is not a problem !

Grows well with other small clump or mounding evergreen plants, in pots and barrows. Spike contrasting "Pink Damask" Veronica alongside for a similar growth habit and contrasting colour. Violas also like being with the Speedwell.

Water lightly when needed in Spring & Summer.
